Last Build Update: January 25, 2025 – Update 44
The Magicka Arcanist class in The Elder Scrolls Online is an excellent choice for PvP: it’s very tanky because of its shield & heal abilities, and you can deal a lot of damage really fast if you execute your rotation right. This post contains a damage-oriented and crit-focused build that can be used in all PvP environments: duels, battlegrounds, and Cyrodiil.

Important note: Since this build utilizes short-range skills, you could also use Dual Wield Order’s Wrath axes instead of a lightning staff on your front bar. If you do, the first axe should be Nirnhoned with a Poison enchantment, and the off-hand one should be Precise with a Shock enchantment.

Mundus stone, attributes, and consumables
– Mundus stone: The Shadow (increased Critical Damage Done)
– Race: Khajiit for more Critical ratings, Breton/Imperial otherwise
– Attributes: 64 points in Health
– Curse: Stage 3 Vampire for the Undeath passive skill
– Food: Orzorga’s Smoked Bear Haunch
– Potion: Essence of Spell Critical (Columbine + Water Hyacinth + Lady’s Smock) preferably, or Tri-Stat (Mountain Flower + Columbine + Bugloss) if you need Stamina sustain
